Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) researchers have found that treatment with stimulant drugs does not increase and appears to significantly decrease the risk that girls with ADHD will begin smoking cigarettes or using alcohol or drugs. Their report in the October Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine parallels the findings of several earlier studies in boys, which needed to be confirmed in girls.

With the entrance of July intermitent rain, coolness, and heat have been the general pattern for the Hudson Valley.At best the weather has been unpredictable.
At least it has not been dry. The colors leftover from the Spring still are sprouting in many flowers vibrant and clear. Many a rose bush have bloomed profusely this early Summer.
Rabbits have multiplied all around Orange County, New York a sign of the vast amounts of food available to them. Groundhogs have also overun many properties and dug holes near foundations causing structural problems for some homeowners.
Both critters are problematic for many homeowners they may destroy gardens and multiply quickly. Some woodchucks have been known to chase pets. On the other hand with vast amounts of land being cleared in the area many animals have taken to feeding in many yards.
Deers eating yard vegetation have bothered many local citizens. With deer locals need to be aware
of tick infestation. Dress appropriately!
